Generation to Generation
Daniella, Daphne & Andrew Kirk
gnation2gnation.com

Generation to generation started to evolve about 14 years ago. Our journey has been one of saying “yes” and seeing what amazing doors would open to us! We never planned or dreamed of starting a ministry, but we simply said Yes to requests as they came in.
Since then we have traveled to North and South America, Asia,
Africa, Australia and Europe, staying true to our mission statement:
“Reconnecting the generations and equipping them to have an uncompromising passion for Jesus with a heart for mission and evangelism.”
Our heart is for unreached and persecuted nations encouraging, inspiring, training and resourcing their leaders as they raise the next generation in conditions that we never imagined. We are an empowering ministry that seeks to equip others in their own nation rather than “doing it ourselves.” To this end, we work with astors and leaders wherever possible. Much of this is through conferences, preaching, teaching and consulting.

THE PATH OF SACRIFICE

Kirks  As we head towards Christmas and the end of this
year we are thankful for so many things:
  •
    •
      •
        •
          •
            • For Jesus without whom none of this would be possible.
            • For the privilege of seeing changed lives, churches envisioned and a generation rising up to see the Great Commission completed.
            • For those who have prayed and given sacrificially to the work that Jesus has called us to do.
            • For safety and protection as we traveled to Asia, the USA, Europe and South Africa.
            • For churches and organizations that have invited      and worked with us... and so much more!

Our world is changing. The days we live in may be unpredictable in the eyes of man but are very predictable through Scripture.  Seasons come and go. Christmas approaches and we celebrate the ultimate and unchanging gift of Jesus. Have you thought about how Christmas was the open door for Easter? It perfectly positioned Jesus to be the Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world.

Christmas was about sacrifice - the sacrifice of Jesus in leaving heaven, of Mary and Joseph as they risked their reputation and life, of the shepherds who would lose their small children under Herod's sword, of the Father Himself as He sent His only Son to a world that would hurt and reject Him.

As we celebrate this victorious sacrifice of Jesus, let's also look forward to His return when He will come  with a blast of the trumpet, as the Lion of the tribe of Judah! It is this amazing gospel we are entrusted with, and placed as custodians of its message. In the name of CHRIST we GO - at the time of CHRISTmas - we still keep GOING because He CAME!

UPDATE FROM THE UKRAINE
Ukraine Crowd Pic

We went to speak at the annual "Mountain of Moses" retreat which lasts for a month. What a privilege to see people from different nations who had sacrificed to be there, even giving up their employment if they could not be released. It is humbling to be given the privilege of speaking into the lives of Jesus' church and knowing the fruit will be seen in eternity

UPDATE FROM HONG KONG

We had an amazing time starting with sharing in churches and finishing with  Fire For the Nations. We never tire of seeing the Holy Spirit move and the vitality, devotion and vision of this emerging generation released.

BEHIND THE SCENES:

We are keeping this newsletter brief as we want to highlight an area we usually leave "behind the scenes".

As the year end approaches we need to make a direct appeal for those who can partner with us. There are several areas of real need right now.

HELP!!!

1. Financial: to continue forward we need an increase in monthly giving. would you pray about this and either

or

We will sacrifice and be obedient, but we need people like yourselves to join us in the financial challenge that lies before us.

2. Increase in accommodation in the UK : we have up to 25 people staying at any one time in our small 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house. We need £40,000 / $65,000  to add an extension of 3 extra rooms. Or any other way God might provide for this pressing need.

House
3. Air miles: if you have air miles that can be donated - please let us know. They must be in increments of one international flight.

4. Media.

5. Administrative gifts.

6. Vacation Accommodation: if you have a time share or similar that we can use very occasionally we would be so grateful It has been a few years since we were able to have a holiday!

Your Heart for the Bridegroom - Daphne Kirk

Your Heart for the Bridegroom

“Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life” - Proverbs 4: 23

Relationships are Gods vehicle for reflecting all that He has for us in community. As Father, Son and Holy Sprit enjoying each other in a perfect flow of relationship so He gave us each other to enjoy communion as reflection of what He enjoys. When this takes place nothing can compare with it – when relationships are broken and breakdown pain is the result. All of us know to some extent or another how painful it is when our hearts are hurting. some of those hurts seem to heal quickly and our lives move on with no awareness of scars or lingering pain. Others invade our lives daily, sometimes taking us by surprise, while at other times we brace ourselves for the ongoing hurt that seems to get no easier with the passing of time.

When this happens in a marriage, or a relationship that is intent on marriage the pain and consequences can not be expressed with words alone. Divorce can mean a lifetime of meeting the consequences of that breakdown and walking through its minefields. Sometimes it seems that the pain will never disappear and will inevitably be part of the future.
