I Can't Change Racism
Galatians 3: 26-28, Acts 10:34-35
Point
of View: Interesting thing here in the U.S.- we fought a war amongst
ourselves at the cost of tens of thousands of lives to end slavery,
only to discover that the war didn't end racism.
Racism is global. Racism is happening in conflicts all over the
world. Racism has become even more discussed with Mr. Obama is running
for President.
Most people are tired & even frustrated with
more talking about racism- especially in Memphis. So what can I do? How
can I change anything?
We must start with who we are in Christ. He has taken us &
erased the distinctions. All people need Jesus. And in Christ we find
forgiveness & grace that passes all the racial, socioeconomic,
gender, nationality lines.
We will start with the challenge of individual relationships. We
will start with what we can pass on to this next generation- starting
with us.
