"I Go To Church, That's Enough" Matthew 16:24-27, 13:44, 28:18-20 Too often in American Christianity we seem to want to establish "church attenders" instead of disciples. The mindset easily becomes "how little can I do as a Christ-follower?" But to follow Christ is a total and complete surrender to the lordship of God. Church attendance isn't some kind of heroic sacrifice, it is simply a meeting of the family to worship God together. In fact, Jesus makes it clear that to follow Him is to deny self and the patented trademark of a Christ-follower is love. The early church intuitively knew that to follow Christ meant that they shared who they were and what they had with each other. The letters written by Paul wre instructions on how to live a transformed life - not just a Sunday-go-to-meeting explanation.
