The X Factor Part 2

"You're What?" Matthew 1:18-25 A young godly man. He wasn't rich, but he was employed. He liked working with his hands as a carpenter. It was a trade he probably leaned from his dad. The arrangements had been made and the papers signed. The date is set for the wedding of Joe and Mary. Then she drops a bombshell, she says she's pregnant. Pregnant! He knows the baby isn't his, and she says she hasn't slept with anyone. Yeah, right. She's crazy. We just need to stop this now. Yes, it will be embarrassing, but maybe she can get some help. But God steps in and uses this common blue collar laborer to be the earthly father of the Son. What an X-factor! What if Joseph said, "No way! The baby isn't mine, and I won't do it." God saw in Joseph the faithful heart to love the Messiah and to love Mary. We don't know much about him, but we know he listened and obeyed God. Click here to download the audio file
