Middle & High School Parent Ministry

twenty-two:six – for parents of middle school & high school students.

What is twenty-two:six? A brand new ministry for parents to connnect, communicate and receive training.

How is twenty-two:six going to help you? By connecting you with other parents, by developing a two-way communication between you and our Student Ministry, and by providing training to help you develop your teen as a Christ-follower.

Connect: There’s safety in numbers! It’s challenging to be a parent, and sometimes it can feel like it’s you verses the world. Twenty-two:six Parent Ministry gives you allies in this battle. It connects you with other parents and sponsors of New Hope. It’s a place where you’re not alone in the trenches, where you can share stories of success and failure, where you can hear humorous, scary and sad accounts. It helps to know that you’re not the only one in this battle.

Comunicate: Let’s Talk! In the movie Cool Hand Luke, the warden tells Paul Newman’s character, “What we have here is a failure to communicate.” Many times students miss out on great opportunities because their parents don’t know about the event or have all the details. Our Student Ministry has come up with some creative ways that we can communicate with you the parents, and you can communicate with us.

Train: Knowing is half the battle! Teens don’t come with instructions, and if they did, it would probably be in a different language. So, from time to time we will share with you some advice, tips and tricks to be more effective and creative in teaching and reaching your teen.

Twenty-two:six
will not magically fix all your parenting problems. It won’t make your students get straight A’s, and it won’t bring world peace. But it will give you the chance to make some friends, find some allies, and learn some new things! Please be a part of this parent ministry!

Parent Prayer Time the 3rd Sunday of every month at the church from 4-5pm.
