Out Of The Shadows -A New Covenant! – July 11, 2010
Hebrews 8:1-13 — We don't use the word covenant often. It's an agreement, it's a promise. God made a covenant with the children of Israel, but his covenant was broken by his chosen people, not God. So God made a new covenant with the coming of Christ. The old covenant was the shadow. It was intended to show the reality that is found in a personal relationship with God. The new covenant laws is not written on tablets of stone, but on people's hearts. Because of the sacriice of Jesus, we live under the new covenant of mercy and grace.
