Hebrews 9:1-28 — The Old Testament was a shadow of the reality that was found in Christ. In the Old Testament God had given explicit intstructions for the tabernacle and the ark of the covenant. The high priest could only enter the Holy of Holies, the inner most part of the tabernacle, once a year to offer a sacrifice, first for their own sin and then for the sins of others. With the reality of Christ, the veil in the tabernacle that seperated man from God's presence was torn in half and Jesus had made the perfect sacrifice once for all time. Because of that sacrifice we as Christ Followers can enter into the presence of God with confidence.
