A plot is hatched by an evil man (Haman) to eradicate the Jewish
people. Esther is a beautiful youn Israelite woman whose influence
saves her nation which is in captivity under the reign of Xerxes. Her
parents were dead or gone and she was raised by her older cousin
Mordecai. Their story is one that shows courage in the face of lietral
extinction.
