Why do we seem to be drawn to the slavery of legalism? Why choose captivity? (vs.8) Would we have done what the children of Israel did when they escaped from bondage – clamoring to go back to Egypt? (vs. 20-23 Hammer home the reality that following the laws cannot change the heart – which is what God has always wanted to begin with.
